Job Description

Mile Marker is looking for an experienced and skilled Software architect to lead our development team to create software solutions that meet our clients' needs. You will be responsible for communicating with clients to determine their requirements, creating comprehensive solution plans, and leading a team of software engineers as they develop polished final products.

To be successful in this role, you must be an expert problem-solver with a strong understanding of the broad range of software technologies and platforms available. 

 

Your Responsibilities

1. Provide accurate specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.

2. Collaborate with clients’ and other stakeholders to determine software requirements.

3. Create high-level product specifications and design documents.

4. Provide the development team with architectural blueprints to follow.

5. Present regular progress reports and setting goals.

6. Acceptance testing the final product to ensure it is completely functional and meets requirements.

7. Plan, track, and schedule software deliverables

8. Guide and assisting the development team throughout the process.

9. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with coding or design.

10. Ensure that you and the team adhere to development schedules and deadlines.

11. Evaluate internal functions, development strategies, and IT processes and suggest improvements accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in software development and agile project management.

• Solid understanding of a variety of programming tools and development platforms.

• Strong knowledge of datastores (SQL, NoSQL), and ability to make choices among available technology based on requirements.

• Experience with Architectural patterns for High Availability, Performance, Scale-Out architecture, Disaster Recovery, Security Architecture

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

• Highly analytical mindset, with an ability to see both the big picture and the details.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
